The workshops provided young composers, producers, and performers with practical training on the protection of their rights. Composers and producers have learned how to manage and protect their musical creations, while performers have learned how to defend their rights regarding the broadcasting of their performances. Through expert-led sessions, participants acquired the knowledge needed to leverage their artistic work in a proper and sustainable manner.
The training sessions provided teachers with practical instruction on using musical scores for educational purposes. They learned where and how to purchase sheet music—including at discounted rates for schools and educational institutions—and how to guide their pupils and students in protecting their performance rights. Through these sessions, teachers were trained to support the musical development of young artists in a proper, responsible, and sustainable manner.
The roundtables were structured meetings designed to facilitate dialogue among collective management organizations, publishers, policymakers, and legal experts, with the aim of identifying major challenges regarding copyright enforcement and generating concrete solutions. The three sessions addressed key topics: preventing the unauthorized distribution of digital sheet music, strengthening licensing agreements and ensuring fair contracts for composers, as well as monitoring revenue and distributing royalties from digital streaming platforms.
Each meeting combined expert presentations, case studies, and structured discussions, providing participants with a practical framework for exchanging experiences and developing actionable recommendations within the music sector.
